ASTEP - a new step forward!

To our members, in accordance with the demands of the Federal Aviation Administration, we have changed our name.  The FAA has determined that the Federal Government will no longer recognize any of the employee associations (some have been recognized for almost 50 years), they will also not support the employee associations in any way - including resources and collaboration in recruiting and outreach.

ASTEP's goals:

  • Encourage and support the professional and personal development of members through education, training, and mentorship.
  • Advocate for the elimination of prejudice and discrimination for everyone in the workplace, especially as it pertains to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, and various allied communities (LGBTQIA+).
  • Maintain accountability, responsibility, and professionalism.
  • Promote better understanding, cooperation, and coordination between individuals at different facilities and levels.
